米国知財実務における生成AIの利用

2025年の米国における知的財産実務は、生成AIの急速な普及に伴い、生成AIの実験的な段階から本格的な実装と規制の時代へと移行しました。
特許分野では、AIは「発明者」として認められないものの、生成AIが書類作成や調査を担うなど実務の効率化が劇的に進んでいます。
著作権分野では、AI生成物の保護を巡る行政ガイダンスの公表や、学習データの適法性を争う司法判断の分断が顕著となり、不透明な状況が続いています。
米国知財実務における生成AIの利用の最新の動向を、生成AIに調査させました。
さらに、報告結果をNotebookLMでインフォグラフィック、スライド資料にさせました。

Use of Generative AI in U.S. Intellectual Property Practice
In 2025, intellectual property practice in the United States has moved from the experimental phase of generative AI to an era of full-scale implementation and regulation, driven by the rapid spread of generative AI technologies.
In the patent field, although AI is not recognized as an “inventor,” generative AI has dramatically improved efficiency in practice by taking on tasks such as document drafting and prior-art research.
In the copyright field, the situation remains uncertain: administrative guidance on the protection of AI-generated works has been issued, while judicial decisions concerning the legality of training data have become increasingly fragmented.
I asked generative AI to investigate the latest trends in the use of generative AI in U.S. intellectual property practice.
In addition, the results of this investigation were converted into infographics and slide materials using NotebookLM.
