2026年3月19日、米国特許商標庁（USPTO）は商標出願の事前処理プロセスを自動化する初の専用AIエージェント「Class ACT（Trademark Classification Agentic Codification Tool）」の導入を発表しました。
これまで最大5ヶ月を要していた国際分類の割り当て、デザインサーチコードの付与、擬似マークの生成という3つの前処理作業を、AIが即座に（5分以内、場合によっては5秒以内に）完了させる能力を持つということです。

On March 19, 2026, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced the introduction of its first dedicated AI agent, “Class ACT (Trademark Classification Agentic Codification Tool),” designed to automate the pre-processing stage of trademark applications.
This AI is capable of completing three key pre-processing tasks—international classification assignment, design search code allocation, and pseudo mark generation—which previously took up to five months, almost instantly (within five minutes, and in some cases even within five seconds).
