元OpenAI研究員のダニエル・ココタジロ氏らが率いる非営利団体AI Futures Projectが作成し2025年4月3日に公開した「AI 2027」は、2027年までの人工知能(AI)の急速な進化と、それが社会、経済、地政学に与えるであろう影響を予測したシナリオです。
AIエージェントの初期の段階から始まり、より高度なAIモデルの開発、特にOpenBrainという架空の企業によるAI研究の自動化、そして中国とのAI軍拡競争が描かれています。
さらに、AIが雇用に与える影響、AIの安全性に関する懸念、そして政府の監視と対応に至るまで、多岐にわたるテーマが取り上げられており、自己改善能力を持つ超知能AIの出現と、それに対する人類の対応の遅れが示唆されています。
「AI 2027」の世界では、AIの核心部分であるアルゴリズムとその学習済みモデル(重み)が極めて重要な知的財産として認識され、その保護と獲得のために様々な手段が講じられている状況が描かれています。

“AI 2027”

Created by the nonprofit organization AI Futures Project, led by former OpenAI researcher Daniel Kokotajlo and others, “AI 2027” is a scenario released on April 3, 2025, that forecasts the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) by the year 2027 and its anticipated impacts on society, the economy, and geopolitics.
The scenario begins with the early stages of AI agents and progresses through the development of more advanced AI models—particularly focusing on a fictional company called OpenBrain that automates AI research—and depicts an AI arms race with China.
It explores a wide range of themes including the impact of AI on employment, concerns over AI safety, and governmental surveillance and response. The scenario suggests a delay in humanity’s ability to respond to the emergence of superintelligent AI with self-improvement capabilities.
In the world of AI 2027, algorithms—the core of AI—and their trained models (weights) are portrayed as extremely valuable intellectual property, with various means being employed to protect and acquire them.
