知財・無形資産の戦略的活用により企業価値の向上を実現した企業を表彰する目的で設けられた「知財・無形資産ガバナンス表彰（2024年度）」で、株式会社アシックスは、優秀賞を受賞しました。知財・無形資産、特にブランド価値を高める取組みが組織的かつ戦略的に行われており、無形資産および ROIC の改善度が最も優れているレベルにあり、そうした企業価値増大が同社のブランド価値向上を始めとする知財・無形資産戦略によって実現できている点が特に高く評価されました。
アシックスの業績は絶好調で、「成長の坂を快足で駆け上がっている」という表現が使われています。2024年12月期連結業績は売上高で前期比18.9％増の6785億円を達成、2025年12月期は前期比15.0％増の7800億円を見込んでいて、「売上高1兆円」の大台も見えてきたということです。

同社は、知財・無形資産、特にブランド価値を高める取組みが組織的かつ戦略的に行われており、また持続的に企業価値向上を実現することを強く期待出来る好例として、多数の審査委員からの高い評価を集めました。同社は、今回の表彰企業の中での無形資産および ROIC の改善度が最も優れているレベルにあり、そうした企業価値増大が同社のブランド価値向上を始めとする知財・無形資産戦略によって実現できている点が特に高く評価されました。同業他社に比べて、将来性のある重要な特許を多数保有している点も評価の対象となりました。総じて、審査基準 10 項目すべてにおいてクオリティが高く、「知財経営」の実践と表明の両面で優れた企業と評価されました。同社へのインタビューでは、同社が内閣府「知財・無形資産ガバナンスガイドライン」を指針として活用すべく、常に参照し意識しているとの見解をうかがいました。グローバル企業との競争では、知財・無形資産戦略の選択と集中が重要との指摘もありました。今後も引き続き知財・無形資産に対する投資を長期的なビジョンで行う方針であり、その方針を社内・社外への理解浸透に向けての情報発信の取組みを行っていくとの方針が示されました。
