イーパテントチャンネル「官公庁・企業・事務所と知財」

YouTubeの「野崎篤志のイーパテントチャンネル-調査・分析系中心-」で、7月19日ライブ限定で、オムロンの奥田 武夫 氏 、佐々木 純 氏がゲストで登場しました。
内閣府の知的財産戦略推進事務局への出向経験から、民間との違いについてもかなり詳しく話をされていて、興味深く聞かせてもらいました。
知的財産権の活用と戦略的な重要性について話が盛り上がりました。
主な話題は以下の通りでした。
1. 知的財産部門の役割が、単なる権利化業務から事業戦略への貢献へと変化していること。
2. 知的財産情報を事業分析に活用する「IPランドスケープ」の重要性が高まっていること。
3. IPランドスケープの実践においては、スピード感と事業への貢献が重視されること。
4. 経営層の知的財産に対する理解を深め、ガバナンスコードなどの対応が求められていること。
5. 知的財産部門の名称を、より戦略的な役割を反映したものに変更する必要性。単なる権利化業務から脱却し、事業戦略への貢献を強調する名称が望ましい。
全体を通して、知的財産活動が事業戦略と密接に関係していることが強調され、その実践方法について活発な議論が行われました。
特に問題となりそうな発言もなかったようですので、アーカイブを公開してもらった方が知財業界のためになるように思いました。

On the "Atsushi Nozaki's e-Patent Channel - Focused on Research and Analysis" on YouTube, Takao Okuda and Jun Sasaki from Omron appeared as guests in a live-only broadcast on July 19. Drawing from their experiences working at the Intellectual Property Strategy Promotion Office of the Cabinet Office, they spoke in great detail about the differences between the public and private sectors, which made for an intriguing discussion. The conversation particularly heated up around the utilization of intellectual property rights and their strategic importance. The main topics were as follows:

1. The role of the intellectual property department is shifting from merely handling rights to contributing to business strategy.
2. The importance of "IP landscape," which utilizes intellectual property information for business analysis, is increasing.
3. In practicing IP landscape, speed and contribution to business are emphasized.
4. There is a need to deepen the understanding of intellectual property among management and respond to governance codes.
5. The need to change the name of the intellectual property department to reflect its more strategic role. A name that emphasizes its contribution to business strategy rather than just handling rights is desirable. Throughout, the close relationship between intellectual property activities and business strategy was emphasized, and there was a lively discussion on practical methods. Since there didn't seem to be any particularly problematic statements, I thought it would be beneficial for the intellectual property industry to have the archive made public.
