大和ハウスの特許資産規模と件数は、国内の住宅メーカーの中で突出しているが、総合技術研究所の約140人の研究員が通期で最低2件特許出願する数値目標をかかげているとのこと。

Daiwa House's patent asset scale and number of patents are outstanding among domestic housing manufacturers. Approximately 140 researchers at the General Technology Research Institute have set a numerical goal of filing at least two patent applications annually. "We place great importance on our patent strategy. By enhancing the brand value of the Daiwa House Group, protecting our technology, and serving as a deterrent against competitors, our approach supports the technical development policies and strategies aligned with our mid-term management plan."
